INDEFINITE LOCKDOWN OF EKSU: FESSU-EKSU PRESIDENT REACTS
It is no more a new occurrence that all basic and tertiary institutions across Nigeria have been closed and locked down as part of the measures by the Federal and State Governments to contain and prevent the concurrent Coronavirus Worldwide pandemic from spreading wide across the Nation. "Of course, this has been a credulous step to deter and halt this pandemic", many say.
In effect, some States across the Nation have provided a medium to hold online and electronic learning for Primary and Secondary School Students. Also, news made us know that Lagos State Government now provides E-learning mediums for Students in tertiary institutions in the State. "This is very applaudable and serendipitous", people say.
As a result of this, the Executive President of the Federation of Ekiti State Students' Union, EKSU Chapter in person of Comrade Alegbeleye Ayorinde Temitayo (BISHOP) put a call through to the correspondents of the FESSU-EKSU Press Corps and he called all EKSUITES' attention to the fact that in our dear State, Ekiti State, we can see that nothing like what happened in Lagos State has happened; since over a month of Closure of Schools both as a result of ASUU Strike and Coronavirus, the School and the State Government didn't provide mediums for our Students to learn online so as not to lag behind in our academics.

After giving a special thanks to the State Government for the recent disbursement of Bursary for Ekiti State Students, he then posited: "I'm sure we have EKSU Portal and Smart School, this is the time we need them. We can't afford to wait till we resume in no-man-knows-when that they will start rushing us to pay school fees and to do examination before we cover our syllabuses, we should do something while at home!".
Conclusively, Mr President on behalf of all EKSUITES and all Students studying in tertiary institutions in Ekiti State at large hereby calls on the State Government and the School Management to please do the needful and the necessary pertaining to this issue. Mr President said "we need a study-while-at-home platform and I'm sure our Management and Government will see to this".
